Roxann is our lovely lunch lady! She is a Deer Isle-Stonington alum graduating in 1981. Her children and grandchildren have both been through the Deer Isle-Stonington school system. She is dedicated to making sure none of our students are left hungry at the end of the day.
Sheila is our Food Service Director for CSD 13. She manages both the high school and elementary school buildings Food Service Program. Sheila was nominated for the Recognizing Inspiring School Employees (RISE) for her contribution to the community during our COVID shutdown. She continues to find ways to help benefit all our students in the CSD 13.

Deer Isle-Stonington Elementary and Deer Isle-Stonington High School are proud to announce that we are now a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school! This means that all students will be eligible to participate in our breakfast and lunch programs at no cost to them or their families for the next four years!
How did this happen? Thanks to your efforts in completing the Meal Application Forms for free and reduced meals, we demonstrated a significant need as a community. This is wonderful news for us all!
CEP is a federal program, which means that the federal government will cover the cost of student meals—not our state or community. As many of you may have noticed in your student packets, there are no Free or Reduced Meal forms to fill out. This will be the case for the next four years, as our status will remain unchanged during that time.
