Nurse's Corner

From the Nurse's Corner

Letter's are going home today (November 4, 2009) with information about the H1N1 Flu vaccine clinic to be held this Saturday, November 7, 2009. Please check your mailboxes. At his time we have only 200 doses of injectable vaccine. Therefore, the clinic will be only for students K-12, and homeschoolers on the Island. We are asking students with high risk factors, such as diabetes, asthma, or other immunocompromised disorder to arrive at 8:00 am. All other students can begin arriving at 8:30. Though many high school age students can drive themselves, they must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian to sign consent forms. The vaccine is free, but we do ask to see insurance cards for record keeping purposes.

There are no appointment times. Vaccines will be administered on a first come first serve basis. We hope to vaccinate all students who arrive on Saturday. IF we should run out we will take names and notify you when the next shipment of vaccine arrives.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at theelementary or high school.
