Deer Isle-Stonington High School senior Isaac Vaughn has been named a National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalist. Isaac is one of only 16,000 students to be named a semifinalist out of the more than 1.5 million high school juniors who took the PSAT test last October. As a result of being named a semifinalist, Isaac is in the running to be named a National Merit Scholarship Program Finalist and earn one of 7,400 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million. The last DISHS student to be named a National Merit Scholarship Program semifinalist was Ann Dunham in 2011. Congratulations on your achievements, Isaac! |
